Managed project to design and implement VPN for 2000 user that enabled secure access to corporate network over the internet of via dial up connection from anywhere in the world.

Accomplishments

VPN operational in 90 days, rollout to 1000 employees in 120 days

Window 2000 Verification & Upgrade

EBS Role

 

Planed and Managed testing of 500 custom software applications to verify compatibility with Win 2000.

Scope of Project

Knowledge Base Management Start-up for 8,000  employee worldwide company.

EBS Role

 

Surveyed the company requirements, and growth plans. Devised a Knowledge Base Management plan that encompassed the IT, Human Resources and Marketing Requirements. Sold plan to senior management. Monitor software vendor and project

Scope of Project

WAN Network for a Large Record Retail chain with 500 stores nationwide

EBS Role

 

Surveyed the company requirements, the competitive strategies and emerging technologies. Designed the network architecture, established pricing and performance models. Made presentation to executive staff that included Performa pricing, implementation plan and payback analysis.

Accomplishments

WAN was approved for deployment, was online by November 2000

 

 

Scope of Project

Non-profit Economic Advisory Institute needed to effectively market an international conference of 1500 high profile guests.

EBS Role

Devised an aggressive marketing plan including, email, call centers, and corporate sponsorship.

Accomplishments

Filled up the conference and were forced to turned away attendees.

 

 

Scope of Project

Business to Business E-Commerce website for multinational transportation company with sales of $500M and 600 locations

EBS Role

 

Evaluated the existing websites and servers from the perspective of the customers and competitors. Formulated an Architecture and Software solution. Then sold the project to senior management.  Managed the project through start-up.

Accomplishments

Plan and Budget was approved and the project brought in on budget and on schedule. The first year of operation met the planned payback goals.

 

 

Scope of Project

Retail Outbound Call Center Start-up to achieve greater sales margins

EBS Role 

Start-up of the Call Center, including Architecture of the Computer System, Devising and implementing Sales Strategy, Hiring and training of the  Sales Staff.

Accomplishments

From start-up to full operations in only 6 weeks. Bookings of $50K in the first week of operations

 

 

Scope of Project

Major IT Department Move of 1,000 PC, 56 File Servers

EBS Role

Project Manger and Team Leader of Network Specialist, PC Technicians

Accomplishments

Move accomplished over 3 weekends with minimal disruption, on time, on- budget performance, and kudos from upper management on the smoothness of the transitions.

 

 

Scope of Project

Outsource IT company requiring assessment of customers LAN/WAN network, recommended restructuring, and marketing of the  upgrade project to the client company. 

EBS Role

 

Assemble and lead team of network engineers and consultants to understand the customer's business model and the supporting information technology network. Identify the problems and the solutions and put together an executive level presentation to sell the required upgrades. 

Accomplishments

$ 10 Million network upgrade contract 

 

 

Scope of Project

Purchasing Alliance Service start-up company required writing the business plan, staffing, business licenses, set-up of accounting systems, specification, purchase and start up of MIS/IT system, customer interface. Target was to position the company for IPO in 18 months. 

EBS Role 

Start-up COO responsible for the P&L and operations.

Accomplishments

Sales in year one exceeded $ 5M, positioned for IPO in 12 months. 

 

 

Scope of Project

Turn-around of Transportation company. Required identifying the problems, competitive disadvantage, and formulating and executing a turn-around plan within severe budget limitations

EBS Role

 

ID three major areas required: Ability to locate truck to maximize utilization via computer, Artificial intelligence in dispatching and EDI for rapid cash flow. 

Accomplishments

ID and implemented changes in 12 months with a resultant 30% growth in revenue in a collapsing market. 

 

 

 Scope of Project

 Turn-around of International Marketing Department.  Required strategic plan for concentrated market approach, specification and installation of Sales Automation system. Concentrated management of accounts. Turn-around management of key international development programs. Three major programs were behind schedule and over budget.

Accomplishments

Sales of $ 140 Million per year, and all three projects delivered on time and on budget.

Establish Start-up sales and purchasing branch office in the USA for foreign subsidiary. Staffed organization, established procedures, instituted PC based MIS system, hired and trained rep network.
